On August 13, 2005 Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company met a delegation of Libyan high-rank officials.
The guests arrived in Kharkov at the business An-74TK-300 VIP. At the enterprise, they were able to see the An-140 and the An-74T-200A. The visit featured discussions concerning the fulfillment of the contract for delivery of two air ambulances An-74TK-200S for Libyan Air Force. The airplanes currently undergo the final assemblage at KSAMC. The Libyan delegation showed great interest in further cooperation with Kharkov manufacturers. Moreover, the country intends to place more orders for different modifications of An-74s and regional turboprop An-140s.


LIBYA INTENDS TO PURCHASE MORE KSAMC AIRCRAFT


 From June 13 to 16, the Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company delegation will present its production at the 46th aerospace Paris Air Show at Le Bourget. This prestigious aircraft review has given a stimulus to development of several new projects for KSAMC, a traditional participant of the air show since 1997.

Airmen from Kharkov plant expect that this Le Bourget show has the same prospects of success, as the previous exhibition. Le Bourget-2003 air show, became a debut for the regional An-140, and turned out to be very fruitful: it resulted in the first export contract for the airplane. Besides, KSAMC won a prestigious international prize of Flight International Industry Awards in the field of Air transportation for the passenger An-140 series production program. Meanwhile, the success of KSAMC was noted not only by airmen: its exposition was attended by President of France Jacque Chirac.


KSAMC: A CONSTANT PARTICIPANT OF THE LE BOURGET AIR SHOW


 From May 7 through May 12, 2005, KSAMC has enlarged its backlog by over $102 mln., as a result of negotiation with its partners from Egypt, Iran, and Sudan.
On May 7 in Cairo, KSAMC General Director Pavel Naumenko held a business meeting with the general customer for the An-74T-200As. As a result of the negotiations, the parties fixed the terms and the procedures of Egyptian crews training and elaborated the schedule of the first two airplanes delivery after completion of the An-74T-200A certification tests. On the whole, the contract envisages the delivery of three such vehicles in 2005.


KSAMC HAS ENLARGED ITS BACKLOG BY $102 MLN.


 On April 28, the An-74-200A made its maiden flight. Its crew included: pilot-in-command, A.I. Tatarchuk (Antonov ASTC project pilot), co-pilot, A.V. Dobrorodny (KSAMC test-pilot), navigator, D.A. Chernyshev (KSAMC), principal engineer, S.V. Chernyshev (KSAMC), flight engineers, S.N. Belokon (KSAMC) and V.V. Bychkov (Antonov ASTC). The flight lasted 1 h. 45 min., its task was to check the systems efficiency, the aircraft stability and controllability. The flight ended successfully.


THE AN-74T-200A BEGAN FLIGHT TESTS


 On March, 12 the results of the national program “Person of the Year - 2004” were announced in the cinema and concert hall “Ukraine” in Kyiv. Three laureates were selected out of 59 candidates to be awarded the title “Industrialist of the Year”, and Pavel Naumenko, General Director of KSAMC, elected among those three laureates, became the winner in the nomination.
The title “Industrialist of the Year” was awarded to Mr. Naumenko after processing the results of the secret ballot in which Members of the Highest Academic Council of the national program “Person of the Year” had taken part on the eve of the ceremony.

 On January, 16 in the evening the delegation of Kharkov aircraft manufacturers departed for the Islamic Republic of Iran, where they will participate in the aerospace show IRAN AIR SHOW 2005 that will take place on January 18-21.
This year, like over two years ago, KSAMC will display its production and offer its potential Middle-Eastern partners to familiarize themselves with possibilities of modern Ukrainian aviation. At the previous air show in 2002 Kharkov exhibited two new aircraft: a passenger An-140 and a convertible An-74TK-300.
For this time on the island Kish, a traditional site for the Iranian air show the international visitors and numerous aviation specialists will see the new Kharkov development, a turboprop airliner An-140 in the VIP version with luxurious interior.
